Glass Service in Manhattan: Broken Glass, Shower Doors & Office PartitionsGlass looks simple precisely because a good installation disappears.
A frameless shower door should open smoothly, close where it belongs and keep water inside the shower.
A mirror should sit straight, secure and intentional on the wall.
A glass partition should feel like part of the architecture—not like a panel that was added afterward.
But glass is heavy, unforgiving and manufactured to exact dimensions. A small measuring error cannot be corrected by tightening another screw. A poorly aligned hinge can place stress on an entire door. Drilling into finished stone or porcelain leaves no room for improvisation.
At
A Guy Who Can Fix It, Glass Service is centered around three areas Manhattan properties need most:
Broken glass replacement. Shower glass. Office glass partitions.Around those core services, we also handle mirrors, glass shelves, railings, windows, storefronts and other residential or commercial glass systems.
Our approach is built around the complete result:
Measure carefully. Handle safely. Install precisely. Protect everything around the work.Sometimes the project begins with a broken panel that needs to be made safe, removed, measured and replaced.
Sometimes it is one shower-door adjustment.
Sometimes it is replacing seals or repairing a leak.
And sometimes it is a complete office glass wall or floor-to-ceiling shower enclosure made from several heavy custom panels that requires multiple Guys, specialty handling equipment and a carefully planned installation.
Different project.
Same standard.

From one seal to a complete custom installation, the objective is the same:
Make the glass work correctly in the space and leave the property looking finished.Glass Installation Is a Complete Process
The visible installation may happen in one day.
The project begins much earlier.
Custom glass work can involve evaluating the opening, measuring several points, checking walls and floors for level, selecting the configuration, identifying hardware, confirming clearances, ordering fabricated glass, coordinating delivery and planning how the panels will enter the property.
Installation may then require several Guys, suction equipment, drilling through finished surfaces, precise alignment, adjustment and sealing.
Our Glass Service can cover the complete process:
Evaluation • Measurement • Configuration • Ordering • Delivery coordination • Removal • Installation • Adjustment • Sealing • TestingThe client has one point of contact instead of managing the glass supplier, installer and handyman as unrelated appointments.
Broken Glass Replacement in Manhattan
Broken glass is not only an unfinished repair.
It can be an immediate safety, access and security problem.
Our Guys handle broken and cracked glass in homes, offices, stores, restaurants, buildings and other Manhattan properties.
The service can include:
- Securing the work area
- Stabilizing cracked or damaged glass
- Controlled removal of loose or broken pieces
- Temporary board-up where required
- Cleaning the immediate installation area
- Evaluating the frame, channel and hardware
- Measuring for replacement glass
- Identifying glass type, thickness and finish
- Ordering a stock or custom replacement
- Returning for final installation
- Reinstalling or replacing compatible hardware
- Alignment, sealing and final testing
The correct response depends on the glass and the location.
A cracked shower panel, broken office partition, damaged storefront, shattered cabinet insert and failed insulated window unit are not repaired in the same way.
What they share is the need to make the area safe first, understand the system and replace the glass with an appropriate component.
Safe Removal of Broken Glass
Damaged glass can remain under tension even when most of the panel still appears intact.
Doors, hinges, clamps, frames and surrounding finishes may also be carrying part of the panel's weight. Removing it without a plan can release the glass suddenly or damage the hardware needed for the replacement.
Our Guys evaluate how the panel is supported, protect the surrounding area and remove damaged material using a crew and handling method appropriate for the project.
For large panels, multiple Guys and professional suction equipment may be required.
Measuring and Matching Replacement Glass
A replacement must match more than width and height.
Depending on the system, we may need to identify:
- Glass thickness
- Tempered, laminated, insulated or specialty construction
- Clear, frosted, tinted, textured or mirrored finish
- Edge treatment
- Corner shape
- Holes and hardware cutouts
- Hinge and handle locations
- Frame or channel dimensions
- Existing seals and gaskets
- Door swing and required clearances
When a manufacturer replacement is available, we can order the compatible component. When it is not, the panel may need to be custom fabricated from field measurements.
Same-Day Broken Glass Response
When scheduling and access allow, same-day service can make the area safer, remove unstable glass, secure an opening and collect the information needed for permanent replacement.
Custom glass still requires fabrication time.
The same-day promise applies to responding to the problem—not pretending that a custom tempered panel can be produced in the back of a van.
Shower Door Installation in Manhattan
Shower glass is the center of our Glass Service.
We install ready-made and custom systems, including:
- Framed shower doors
- Semi-frameless shower doors
- Frameless shower doors
- Hinged and pivot doors
- Sliding and bypass doors
- Barn-style sliding doors
- Fixed panels
- Door-and-panel combinations
- Corner enclosures
- Neo-angle enclosures
- Bathtub glass doors
- Tub screens
- Floor-to-ceiling enclosures
- Steam-shower systems
The correct system depends on the opening, shower layout, plumbing fixtures, curb or floor, wall construction, desired hardware and available door clearance.
Installation is not simply attaching two hinges.
The door must be positioned so it moves without contacting adjacent glass, tile, fixtures or cabinetry. Fixed panels must remain stable. Seals and sweeps must meet correctly. Hardware lines should look consistent. The finished enclosure should work as one system.
Frameless Shower Door Installation
Frameless glass creates a clean, open bathroom because very little hardware interrupts the surface.
That simplicity requires precision.
Heavy tempered panels depend on accurately positioned hinges, clamps, channels and support components. The glass cannot be trimmed on site if the opening was measured incorrectly.
We install frameless doors and enclosures using appropriate handling equipment and a crew sized to the work.
Projects may use 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch tempered glass, depending on the design and system requirements.
Heavy and Oversized Shower Glass
Large panels are not one-Guy projects.
Floor-to-ceiling glass, wide fixed panels, substantial doors and multi-panel enclosures may require several Guys, professional suction cups, lifting equipment and a controlled path through the property.
We build the crew around the glass.
That protects the panel, the installation team and the finished interior around the work.
Floor-to-Ceiling Shower Enclosures
Modern Manhattan bathrooms increasingly use glass that extends to the ceiling.
These systems can create a strong architectural line, contain steam or separate the wet area without visually reducing the room.
They also demand accurate measurement and careful planning.
Ceilings, floors and walls are not always perfectly parallel. Hardware must account for the actual opening. Ventilation, transoms, door swing and pressure equalization may all affect the design.
Our Guys install floor-to-ceiling fixed panels, doors and complete custom enclosures, including systems that require several heavy panels to align as one continuous composition.
Steam Shower Glass
A steam enclosure must contain more than ordinary shower spray.
Steam-shower glass may extend to the ceiling and include transoms, tighter seals, door sweeps and carefully planned openings.
We measure, install, adjust and seal compatible steam-shower systems. The final configuration depends on the room, ventilation, fixtures and selected hardware.
The goal is a door that closes correctly, panels that remain stable and an enclosure that performs as designed without looking unnecessarily heavy.
Ready-Made Shower Doors
Not every project requires custom fabrication.
We install ready-made shower systems from brands such as:
- Kohler
- DreamLine
- Vigo
- Delta
- Basco
- MAAX
- Glass Warehouse
- Fleurco
- Other compatible manufacturers
Ready-made does not mean adjustment-free.
The opening must fall within the manufacturer's required range. Tracks, hinges, rollers and panels must be assembled and aligned correctly. Walls may not be perfectly plumb, and the finished installation must account for real property conditions.
Send the model, product link and opening dimensions when booking whenever possible.
Custom Shower Glass
Custom glass is manufactured for the actual opening.
Our service can include field measurement, configuration planning, hardware selection, ordering and installation.
We work with custom tempered panels and compatible hardware from professional suppliers and manufacturers such as
CRL, Bohle, Portals and FHC, along with other appropriate systems.
Custom fabrication requires payment for glass and special-order components before the order is released. Manufacturing time depends on the supplier, glass specifications, edge work, holes, cutouts, finish and project complexity.
The labor for measurement, removal, installation and adjustment remains hourly.
Why Accurate Measurement Matters
Custom tempered glass cannot be drilled, cut or resized after tempering.
Measurements may need to account for:
- Width at several heights
- Wall plumb
- Floor or curb level
- Angles and returns
- Hardware clearances
- Door swing
- Adjacent fixtures
- Panel overlap
- Seal and sweep requirements
- Ceiling conditions
A custom panel should be ordered from the opening that exists—not the opening a drawing assumes exists.
Shower Door Adjustment and Repair
A shower door does not always need replacement.
Doors can shift over time. Hinges may loosen. Rollers may wear. A sweep may harden or tear. A magnetic seal may stop meeting correctly. Silicone may separate from tile or glass.
Our Guys diagnose and correct everyday shower-door problems such as:
- Door sagging or rubbing
- Door not closing fully
- Uneven gaps
- Loose panels or hardware
- Hinges requiring adjustment
- Worn rollers or guides
- Handle or knob replacement
- Damaged channels or clamps
- Missing or deteriorated seals
- Water escaping around the door
- Silicone failure
- Noisy or difficult movement
The first step is identifying whether the problem comes from alignment, hardware, seals, glass dimensions or the surrounding structure.
Replacing a sweep cannot correct a door that is hanging in the wrong position.
Shower Hardware Replacement
We replace and service compatible:
- Hinges
- Handles and knobs
- Clamps
- U-channels
- Headers
- Rollers
- Guides
- Brackets
- Support bars
- Fasteners
- Seals and gaskets
Hardware finishes may include chrome, brushed nickel, polished nickel, matte black, brass, bronze and other manufacturer finishes.
For replacement work, matching the dimensions, hole pattern, glass thickness and original system matters more than selecting hardware by appearance alone.
When an OEM or directly compatible component is available, we identify and order the appropriate part before installation.
Shower Sweeps, Seals and Gaskets
Small vinyl and rubber components perform important work.
Bottom sweeps direct water back into the shower. Side seals close gaps between panels. Magnetic strips help doors meet. Gaskets protect glass inside metal hardware.
We replace worn, discolored, damaged or missing sweeps, seals, gaskets and magnetic strips.
The correct profile and size depend on glass thickness, gap and door configuration.
A seal should reduce water escape without preventing the door from moving correctly.
Shower Glass Leak Correction
Water outside a shower enclosure does not automatically mean the entire door was installed incorrectly.
The source may be:
- Door alignment
- Missing or damaged seals
- Incorrect sweep position
- Failed silicone
- Water directed toward an unavoidable opening
- Curb or floor pitch
- Movement in the enclosure
- A plumbing or waterproofing issue unrelated to the glass
Our Guys evaluate how water is escaping before choosing the correction.
The service may involve adjustment, seal replacement or localized resealing. Where the issue comes from another part of the bathroom, we explain what was observed and coordinate the appropriate service when possible.
Silicone Removal and Resealing
Silicone is both functional and visible.
Over time it may separate, discolor, collect mildew or lose adhesion.
We remove failed silicone where appropriate, prepare the surface and reseal glass channels, fixed panels and related joints.
Good resealing is not a matter of placing a new bead over an old one.
The existing material and surface condition must be addressed so the new seal can perform and look clean.
Broken or Cracked Shower Glass
Damaged tempered glass requires careful handling.
We provide safe stabilization, removal, measurement and replacement coordination for broken or cracked shower doors and panels.
When the original glass cannot be identified as a stock component, a custom replacement may need to be fabricated from new measurements and hardware specifications.
Same-day service may be available for stabilization or removal when scheduling permits.
Custom replacement glass cannot be promised the same day because it must be manufactured for the opening.
Removing an Existing Shower Enclosure
New shower-glass installation may include removal of the existing door, panels, channels and related hardware.
We work carefully around tile, stone, tubs, shower bases and existing fixtures. After removal, old penetrations, adhesive, silicone and surface conditions are evaluated before the new system is installed.
Old glass can be moved to the building or client's designated dumpster when available. Transport to an outside disposal or junk facility is an additional service.
Drilling Through Tile, Porcelain, Marble and Stone
Shower hardware often attaches through finished surfaces that are expensive and difficult to repair.
We work through ceramic tile, porcelain, marble, stone slabs and other appropriate surfaces using methods and tooling selected for the material.
Before drilling, the location, available drawings and detectable conditions are reviewed. Professional scanning may be used to evaluate possible pipes, wiring or heating elements behind the surface.
No scanner can turn an unknown wall into a transparent one, but careful preparation is significantly better than drilling from assumption.
The glass, hardware and wall are treated as one installation.
Mirror Installation in Manhattan
Mirrors are both functional objects and architectural surfaces.
We install:
- Framed mirrors
- Frameless mirrors
- Illuminated mirrors
- Smart mirrors
- Oversized mirrors
- Floor-to-ceiling mirrors
- Vanity mirrors
- Dressing-room mirrors
- Gym and fitness mirrors
- Commercial mirrors
- Complete mirror walls
Installation may use mechanical clips, channels, standoffs, concealed mounting systems or professional mirror adhesive depending on the mirror, wall, design and intended permanence.
Oversized and Floor-to-Ceiling Mirrors
Large mirrors require the same controlled handling as other heavy glass.
The delivery path, elevator, doorway, wall condition and final position all matter. Multiple Guys and suction equipment may be required.
For multi-panel mirror walls, alignment and consistent seams determine whether the installation reads as one finished surface or several unrelated pieces.
Custom Mirror Walls and Gyms
We measure, order and install custom mirrors for home gyms, dressing rooms, studios, salons and commercial fitness spaces.
The project may involve several panels arranged across one wall, cutouts around outlets or controls and coordination with baseboards, millwork and lighting.
The objective is not simply to cover the wall with reflective glass.
It is to create a clean, continuous installation that belongs in the room.
Medicine Cabinet Installation
We install surface-mounted and recessed mirrored medicine cabinets.
Recessed installations may overlap with General Mounting, Electrical Help and Minor Home Repair, particularly when the cabinet includes lighting, outlets or changes to the wall opening.
Our team can coordinate the complete installation rather than leaving the client with a mirror, an unfinished opening and several different contractors to call.
Glass Shelves and Displays
We install glass shelving in bathrooms, kitchens, bars, cabinets, retail displays, galleries and other residential or commercial spaces.
Systems may use clips, brackets, channels, standoffs or concealed supports.
The wall, shelf thickness, intended load, edge treatment and hardware must work together.
For multiple shelves, consistent spacing and alignment are part of the finished result.
Glass Tabletops and Protective Tops
Custom glass can protect dining tables, desks, consoles, dressers, conference tables and other finished furniture.
We measure, order, receive and place glass tabletops and protective tops, including shaped or oversized pieces.
Dimensions, edge style, corner treatment, glass thickness and support conditions are confirmed before fabrication.
Delivery and placement of a large tabletop may require multiple Guys and appropriate lifting equipment.
Cabinet Glass and Furniture Inserts
We replace or install compatible glass inserts in cabinets, furniture doors, display units and custom millwork.
The project may include removing the existing panel, measuring the opening, ordering replacement glass and reinstalling the retaining system.
Clear, frosted, tinted, textured or specialty glass can be considered depending on the design and supplier availability.
Office Glass Partitions and Conference-Room Doors
Office glass is the second major side of our commercial Glass Service.
Glass walls allow a Manhattan office to create meeting rooms, private workspaces and defined circulation without giving up natural light or making the interior feel smaller.
We install, replace and service:
- Office glass walls
- Conference-room enclosures
- Frameless glass partitions
- Framed glass partition systems
- Fixed panels
- Hinged glass doors
- Sliding glass doors
- Glass sidelites and transoms
- Frosted and privacy glass
- Interior residential room dividers
- Compatible access and door hardware
Projects may include fixed panels, framed systems, frameless systems, hinged or sliding doors, channels, patch fittings, handles, locks and seals.
For commercial interiors, the work can be coordinated around operating hours and other trades.
The finished system must align, move correctly and integrate with floors, ceilings and adjacent walls.
New Office Glass Installation
A new partition project begins with the layout and actual site conditions.
We evaluate the opening, flooring, ceiling, adjacent walls, door location and selected system. Custom panels and doors are measured and ordered, then installed as one coordinated composition.
For multi-panel walls, small alignment errors become increasingly visible across the complete run. Channels, seams, door clearances and hardware lines must remain consistent.
The project is complete when the office is divided, the doors operate correctly and the glass looks like part of the architecture.
Broken Office Glass Replacement
Conference-room doors and office partitions are used every day. A cracked panel, damaged door or failed fitting can interfere with both safety and business operations.
We stabilize and remove damaged office glass, measure replacement panels, identify compatible hardware and return for installation after fabrication.
Work can be scheduled around employees, clients and operating hours whenever possible.
Office Glass Door Adjustment and Hardware
An office glass door may begin rubbing, sagging, closing too quickly or failing to meet the strike correctly even when the glass itself is intact.
We evaluate and service compatible hinges, pivots, patch fittings, closers, handles, locks, guides and seals. Adjustment can often restore normal operation without replacing the complete glass system.
Where access-control components are involved, our Glass Service and Smart Home Installation teams can coordinate the physical door and electronic system through one point of contact.
Privacy Film and Frosted Glass
Offices often need visual privacy without completely blocking light.
Projects may use factory-frosted glass, custom replacement panels or compatible privacy film depending on the design and existing system.
We can coordinate the appropriate solution for conference rooms, offices, treatment rooms, studios and other commercial interiors.
Glass Railings and Staircase Panels
We install and service compatible glass railing systems, guards, balustrades and staircase panels.
These projects require careful measurement, appropriate structural coordination, specialized hardware and controlled handling.
Systems may use posts, base shoes, standoffs, clamps or other engineered components.
The installation plan depends on the property, selected system and applicable project requirements. When a specific portion requires another qualified specialist, we coordinate the correct Guy through the same point of contact.
Storefront and Commercial Exterior Glass
Manhattan businesses depend on entrances and storefronts that are secure, aligned and presentable.
Our commercial Glass Service includes:
- Storefront glass replacement
- Exterior entrance doors
- Door adjustment and hardware
- Fixed storefront panels
- Interior display glass
- Protective glass tops
- Mirrors and mirror walls
- Glass shelves
- Office partitions and doors
- Emergency stabilization and board-up
We work with retail stores, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, gyms, salons, showrooms and property managers.
Scheduling can be arranged around customers, deliveries, building access and operating hours whenever possible.
Window Glass Replacement and Repair
We measure, replace and service compatible residential and commercial window glass.
The appropriate solution depends on the frame, glazing system, glass type, dimensions, access and whether the unit is single-pane, insulated or specialty glass.
Projects may involve removing damaged glass, temporarily securing the opening, ordering the correct replacement and returning for final installation.
For large, high or difficult windows, additional Guys, access equipment or specialist coordination may be required.
Emergency Glass Stabilization and Board-Up
Broken exterior glass can create an immediate safety and security problem.
We provide same-day stabilization, removal and board-up for appropriate storefront, entrance and window openings when scheduling and access allow.
The first objective is to make the area safer and secure the property.
Measurement and permanent replacement can then follow as a separate stage, particularly when custom glass must be fabricated.
Same-day stabilization does not mean same-day custom manufacturing.
It means the problem is handled in the correct order.
Glass Service for Commercial Properties
Commercial glass service is not limited to a broken storefront.
Businesses may need mirrors installed across a gym, partitions adjusted in an office, shelves added to a display, shower glass serviced in a hotel or protective tops placed over finished furniture.
Our team can handle individual repairs as well as multi-area projects for:
- Hotels and hospitality properties
- Offices
- Retail stores
- Restaurants and bars
- Gyms and fitness studios
- Salons and spas
- Galleries and showrooms
- Managed residential buildings
- Other commercial spaces
For businesses and property managers, the value is one reliable contact for glass, mounting, electrical, plumbing, appliances and related property work.
Complete Glass Installation for New Residences
A newly completed or renovated residence may need shower enclosures, mirrors, medicine cabinets, glass shelves, tabletops, railings and other custom pieces installed within the same project period.
Our team can work through the property systematically.
Openings are evaluated and measured.
Custom pieces are ordered.
Ready-made systems are received.
Existing glass is removed where necessary.
Installations are coordinated room by room.
Final alignment, hardware, sealing and adjustments are completed.
For owners, designers and property managers, this turns a collection of glass appointments into one manageable installation project.
The property needs to be ready. That is the project.Glass Service Inside Luxury Manhattan Properties
Technical ability is expected.
Working with heavy glass inside a finished residence requires something more.
A panel may need to pass beside custom millwork, artwork, stone surfaces and designer furniture. A mirror may be installed over a finished vanity. A shower door may require drilling through imported slab material. Suction equipment, tools and several Guys must enter and leave the property.
Protecting floors, walls, fixtures and surrounding finishes is part of the work.
Because successfully installing the glass while damaging the room around it is not a successful installation.
Ongoing Glass Maintenance
Glass systems contain hardware and seals that may require attention over time.
We provide scheduled maintenance for residences, hotels, businesses and managed properties, including:
- Door alignment
- Hinge and clamp checks
- Roller and guide adjustment
- Handle tightening
- Sweep and seal replacement
- Silicone evaluation and resealing
- Storefront and entrance adjustment
- Mirror and shelf hardware checks
- Inspection of frequently used glass doors
Routine adjustment can often address a small movement before it becomes a damaged hinge, rubbing door or unstable panel.
Glass Service as Part of Property Management
Glass Service can be incorporated into our ongoing Property Management Services.
For properties we maintain regularly, shower doors, mirrors, glass hardware, seals and other systems can be reviewed alongside lighting, plumbing fixtures, appliances, smart-home devices and general repairs.
That means fewer separate appointments and fewer new vendors for the owner or manager to locate.
One property. One trusted team. One point of contact.Glass Service When You Are Not Home
The owner does not necessarily need to supervise the appointment personally.
With authorized access, we coordinate through:
- Building management
- Property managers
- Household staff
- Personal assistants
- Doormen
- Interior designers
- General contractors
- Business managers
- Other authorized representatives
We can evaluate the project, coordinate measurements and installation, and provide an update without requiring the owner to reorganize the day around the work.
That is how premium property service should work.
Glass Service for Second Homes
We also work with Manhattan clients at second homes in the Hamptons, Hudson Valley, Catskills, Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey.
Second-home projects may include shower enclosures, mirrors, glass railings, windows, doors, shelves and complete property installations.
Bringing an established team to another residence can be easier than rebuilding trust with a new collection of contractors.
Different address.
Same Guys.

- Hardware tightening or replacement when available

Insured Guys and Building Coordination
Every Guy carries insurance, and a certificate of insurance can be provided when required by a building or property manager.
Our team was formed by professionals with years of experience completing work through platforms such as Taskrabbit, Thumbtack and Angi, supported by five-star profiles and thousands of completed tasks.
Glass work in Manhattan requires more than installation skill.
It requires planning, controlled handling, communication with buildings, respect for privacy, careful protection and the ability to coordinate several people around one heavy, fragile object.
When a specific part of a project requires a dedicated glass or other qualified specialist, we assign the appropriate Guy while keeping the project under one point of contact.
90-Day Workmanship Warranty
Our glass installation, adjustment and sealing workmanship is covered by a
90-day warranty.
If an issue is related to work we performed, contact us and we will evaluate it.
Glass breakage, manufacturer hardware defects, movement of the building, changes in surrounding surfaces, waterproofing conditions and unrelated product failures are handled according to the actual cause. They may still be serviceable, but they are not automatically failures of the original installation.
Our responsibility for our own workmanship remains straightforward.
We stand behind the work our Guys perform.
What Does Glass Service Cost in Manhattan?
Glass Service labor is billed at our standard rate of
$149 per hour, per Guy.
The first hour is the minimum service charge and can be used for diagnosis, measurement or evaluation of the existing system.
Labor time depends on the glass dimensions and weight, number of panels, removal, wall materials, access, hardware, sealing, number of Guys and overall installation complexity.
Adjusting one shower door and installing a complete floor-to-ceiling enclosure should not require the same amount of time or crew.
Custom glass, mirrors, hardware and special-order components are paid separately before fabrication or ordering. Delivery, disposal outside the property's designated dumpster and special access equipment may also be additional.
Labor remains hourly. We build the crew and schedule around the actual project.
Parking and transportation logistics are handled by the Guys.
